Serupepeli Vularika joined the Fiji Airways Fijian Drua training in Nadi yesterday after he recovered from a knee injury.

The Naqarani, Rewa native is available for selection in round seven of the Australian National Rugby Championship against the Western Force in Perth this Saturday.

Head coach Senirusi Seruvakula said the utility backline player injured his knee during training last week before the match against the Canberra Vikings.

“He has recovered and is with the side once again. He injured his knee during training before the Vikings match,”Seruvakula said.

The 28-year old was on the field doing the hard yards with the team yesterday.

The team had their first training run since defeating the Vikings 40-35 in Lautoka last week.

“We have been preparing well. We will review our game and everyone is ready for the last game against the Force this Saturday,”he said.

“It would be tough against the Force as they have a good forwards pack. They have been consistent throughout the season.

“We are going out there to try our best so that we can go to the next level and win the semifinal. They would also want to win to host a home semis.

“It’s always tough to select the best team to go out there and play as everyone is looking forward to get the nod.

“This year we’ve developed a lot of good players compared to last year. They are learning, gaining confidence and we will try our best in the last three games.

“Some of the players have proved their worth in the last six weeks and could make the squad for the Europe Tour next month.

“But the choice will be up to Fiji Airways Flying Fijians head coach John McKee.”

The team departs today for Perth.
