The Assistant Commissioner of Police and Chief Operations Officer Maretino Qiolevu issued a reminder calling on the Divisional heads to maximise Police visibility.

This is to ensure that students, parents and teachers were able to begin another school year and operations such as school patrols before and after school are maintained at all school zones.

ACP Qiolevu said the main focus was on the movement of people conducting back to school shopping and those returning from their holidays.

Divisional Police Commanders have been directed to ensure all necessary school related operations are ready for the start of the 2019 academic year.

“Keep up the momentum of operations to ensure children are able to start the school year incident free and to the parents and guardians, and not forgetting teachers and members of the public to work together in keeping children safe,” ACP Qiolevu said.
