Thank you Fiji Sun, was the comment made by the nine Fiji Sun back to school winning recipients.

The winners received educare book sets.

Matelita Tuwere, 15, of Lomary Secondary School travelled from Galoa to receive her prize.

“Thank you Fiji Sun for your dedication to the students of Fiji.

“This has been a huge help to my parents,” she said.

Daren Prasad, 14, of Dilkusha Boys School and his sister Evelyn Devi, 9, of Dilkusha Girls School also won sets of books each.

“We will be using these books throughout the year and our parents will not worry about it,” Daren said.

Another winner is Humairaa Shekh, 16, of Jai Nayaran College.  She also won last year’s promotion.

“I feel so lucky, especially being raised by a single mom, this has really eased her burden,” she said.

Nine of the 30 winners have received their prizes.

The winners are: Monisha Prakash, Keshwen Goundar, Alan Prasad, Sanesh Prakesh, Ranjeeta Kumar, Simione Tuwere, Naznin Shekh, Diren Prasad and Avikant Deepak Kumar.
