Former Fijian featherweight champion Krishna Mudaliar is making a comeback when he takes on Humzah Khalid at the Entertainment Centre, Hurstville, New South Wales, Australia tonight.

The hard hitting Mudaliar took a rest after he suffered knockout losses to Fred Nasep and Rakuro Daunivavana last year.

Meanwhile, his older brother and former Fijian bantamweight champ Krishnil Mudaliar takes on Jai Alexander for the vacant World Boxing Foundation Australasian featherweight title tomorrow night in Australia at the Whitehorse Club, East Burwood, Australia.

The 30-year-old has been camping in Victoria for the past months.

Krishnil added that tomorrow’s fight is a grand preparation for his fight against Ben Dencio for the vacant World Boxing Foundation Australasian super featherweight title set for September 6.

Krishnil in his last fight lost to Tyson Lantry for the vacant World Boxing Foundation Australasian lightweight title in Doyalson RSL Club, Doyalson on March 2.

Since then Krishnil has fought 11 bouts won eight (5 KOs) and three losses since turning pro in 2009.

His opponent Alexander is undefeated with 9 fights with 6 by knock outs since his pro debut in 2012.

Krishna has a record of 6 wins from 14 fights since turning pro in 2010.

Their father Simmu Mudaliar said he’s proud of his sons’ involvement in the sport.

“I’m proud to see them carry the Fiji flag. I did not go that far in boxing but they have made it.

“I call on Fijian boxing fans to support my boys.”

He thanked Lincoln Refrigeration, Ratnam Investment, Jimmy’s Gas and Kava Supply and KK’s Hardware and other sponsors for supporting them.

Meanwhile, unknown Lepani Levatia will face Abdul Abdulrahman tonight in a middleweight bout at Hurstville, New South Wales.
