Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama will visit Cuba after the Climate Change summit in New York.

He has been invited by Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Cane.

During the visit, he will meet Fijian students studying medicine there.

Mr Bainimarama leaves for New York tomorrow. He will be attending the climate summit next week.

He will deliver his major address on September 28.

Prior to that, he will be taking part in a busy daily programme. There will be three to four events a day on average where he is expected to participate in.

Of the 160 presidents and prime ministers attending, Mr Bainimarama is one of less than 10 leaders chosen to speak at four main summits.

After his successful presidency of COP23, he is much sought after on the global stage as an inspirational speaker in the climate change battle.
