The popular Adi Senikau Pageant is back this year and will be held at the Suva Civic Centre Auditorium on November 22.

The theme for this year’s event is ‘Celebrating Inclusion and Diversity’ and is presented by the transgender movement, Haus of Khameleon.

The Adi Senikau Pageant has perhaps been the most popular event during the Hibiscus Festival but this year the pageant has broken ranks to stage a standalone show.

Event organizer, Aqela Cakobau, said after nine years of being part of the Hibiscus Festival, and with the transition in leadership of the Hibiscus Committee, the Haus of Khameleon felt that it was time to ‘cut the umbilical cord’.

“It is time to continue the Adi Senikau Pageant independently,” said Sulique Waqa, co-ordinator of the Adi Senikau Pageant.

“With its popularity, we invite fans and members of the public to purchase tickets early to avoid disappointment and to be prepared to be entertained for the entire evening” said Ms Cakobau.

This year, 10 contestants will be vying for the Adi Senikau crown and each will represent a capital city of their choice.

The Adi Senikau Pageant tickets are on sale at Damodar Cinemas.

The pageant is entertaining but raunchy and targeted at an adult audience.
