LTA: Taxi Drivers Should Adhere To Dress Code, Issue Receipts When Requested

LTA: Taxi Drivers Should Adhere To Dress Code, Issue Receipts When Requested

Taxi drivers should, when requested by a customer issue a properly constituted receipt with the name of the taxi operator, contact details, drivers name, day, date and time of the journey and the fare paid.

The Land Transport Authority wishes to remind taxi drivers that taxi receipts must be given to passengers for the journey taken and is part of an important Public Service Vehicle regulation.

Taxi drivers not issuing taxi receipts to passengers are committing an offence and will be issued with the Traffic Infringement Notice by the LTA.

Customer Rights

The LTA also wishes to inform customers that you have every right to request a receipt from the taxi driver for the journey taken and if a receipt is not given the LTA urges you to report the matter to LTA by texting on 582 with the details of the taxi which includes taxi number, date and time, and driver’s name.

Taxi Drivers Dress Code

Flip flops and slippers are all prohibited.
