Sebastian ‘Sniper’ Singh aims to have a shot at WBO Super middleweight title next year.

Bu this will only be possible if he beats Australian Humzah ‘Raging Bull’ Khalid for the vacant IBO Super middleweight title on Saturday at Prince Charles Park, Nadi.

Singh returned from Auckland yesterday after spending six and half weeks training under Lolo Heimuli.

The 25-year-old is confident of another win at home.

“I know I will win this fight as I want to set a benchmark for young boxers including my brother. WBO is next in line for me,” he said.

“Khalid will get the fight of his life. He won five fights but he has yet to fight Sebastian Singh. For me, he is just another man standing in front of me.”

He said training in Auckland was important as he needed a quality sparring partner, a trainer and a teacher.

“I have been training well. I lost a lot of fans over the years because my performance was not up to standard.

“For this fight, I am planning to win back all my fans.”

Kiran Boxing Promotions promoter Ben Krishna said: “If Sebastian wins this title then he will fight for the WBO super middleweight title in June 2020 which will be held in Fiji.”
