As the festive season approaches, parents and guardians were seen with their children doing their back-to-school shopping in Labasa yesterday.

Mother of three, Selai Qelo, 36, had begun buying her children’s stationery from the first week of the school holidays.

“My eldest child will be joining high school in the coming year, while my two younger ones will move up to Year 7 and Year 4,” Mrs Qelo said.

“Despite the Christmas norm where children look forward into opening their presents, my children prefer to see their stationery were complete and ready for next year.

“By Christmas they have their full set of stationery.”
