Sergeant Badogo Accorded Full Military Funeral, Remembered For Service

The late 28046 Sergeant Sakiusa Badogo was accorded a full military funeral on Thursday at the Nasinu Cemetery, Nine Miles.

Captain Nanise Ralagi in delivering the Republic of Military Forces (RFMF) eulogy said Sergeant  Badogo was enlisted into the RFMF regular force in 1988.

Cpt Ralagi said Sergeant  Badogo served for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in 1990 – 1991, 1994 – 1995 and 2000 – 2001.

He also served for the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO).

Sergeant  Badogo she said served in Iraq and East Timor.

“The RFMF will miss a hard, dedicated and faithful worker,” she said.

Speaking on behalf of the family Timoci Tavusoya thanked the Commander of the RFMF Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto for the leadership training the late Sergeant  Badogo had gone through.

He said the family, his village and the district of Wailevu in Cakaudrove had benefitted from this training.

Mr Tavusoya said they would miss Sergeant  Badogo and his smiling face.

He thanked the RFMF for taking all the responsibilities for Sergeant  Badogo’s funeral, as they were supposed to shoulder.
