Professional boxing has finally made its way back to Suva.

It has been confirmed that Boxing Commission of Fiji has sanctioned the March 14 Best Promotions to be staged at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.

The main bout is an international 10×3 mins round bout between Vanuatu’s golden boy Roy ‘Tsunami’ Ser and Australia’s Koen Mazouder.

In the main supporting former Fijian bantamweight champion Krishnil Mudaliar faces veteran Junior ‘The Razor’ Farzan Ali for the vacant Fijian super-featherweight title.

The 31-year-old Mudaliar has 13 bouts under his belt with eight wins, five losses since his debut in December, 2009.

He has been impressive form losing on close points decision in Australia.

Best Boxing Promotions promoter Hasmat Ali said, we’ve given a chance to these boxers show their worth.

“It is to give our fans the best show,” Ali said.

“Mudaliar is pretty younger than Farzan but the onus is on them to perform in the ring. Mudaliar has been training with Joseph Kwadjo.”

Ali confirmed that he is doing the programme with former Fijian boxer and promoter Michael Prasad with the vision to grow the sport.

There are 10 bouts in the ‘Five Nation Fights’ which include boxers from Vanuatu, Sudan, Australia, New Zealand and hosts Fiji.

“I’m confident about the programme that will give the local boxing fans what money can’t buy. There is a lot of international fights and it is not to be missed,” Ali said.

“All boxers have been training hard to win the title. Eight titles will be at stake. It will be one of the most watched fights of the night so for Suva fans they need to come out in numbers to watch.”

Ali thanked the support of Vodafone, Sun Production Vanuatu, Fiji One TV, RB Patel and VanMed Labs
