Former Fiji Under-23 football players Tito Vodowaqa, Savenaca Baleidrokadroka, Peni Tuigulagula and Asaeli Batikasa who joined Frankston Pine football club earlier this year are making headlines in the Division 2 football competition ever since moving over.

Speaking to Sun Sports Victorian Multicultural Sports Association President Victor Kumar said the boys were doing well in Melbourne, Victoria.

“Frankston Pine is blessed to have these talented young Fijian boys over,” Kumar said.

“If they perform well during the league then we can expect to see them playing at the A-League sometimes next year,” he said.

“They fitted in just right when they had their first training run with the team and it was good to see that they’ve been preparing well in terms of fitness and consistency in performance.

“It’s good to see them adapt to the style of football that we play here and responding well to the coaches’ instructions.

“They have settled in and have been training before the Coronavirus broke here, they showed full potential during training.”

Kumar adds the boys are closely monitored by the team officials and doctors during the virus outbreak in Australia.

“The boys are Coronavirus free because the team doctors are really taking good care of them,” he said.

“They are safe and are training at home during this world crisis.

“I urge all Fijians back at home to stay safe and follow all health precaution measures and practice hygiene to fight this deadly virus.”
