Rewa needs to beat Nasinu this Friday at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori to stay in the Vodafone Vanua Championship competition.

After a scoreless draw against North Bulls in round one, Rewa lost 21-30 to Northland at Garvey Park, Korovou yesterday.

Rewa led 21-13 at halftime but Northland staged a fightback and was awarded a penalty try for their first win.

“We play Nasinu next possibly at Ratu Cakobau Park on Friday and it’s a must-win game for us, “Rewa Rugby secretary Petero Kaveni said.

“We need to win to stay in the competition.”

Women: North Bulls 17-51 Nasinu, Northland 20-26 Rewa, Ba 25-20 Navosa, Tavua 36-0 Ra, Nanukuloa 25-10 Vatukoula, Bua 25-22 Cakaudrove, Macuata 43-22 Ovalau.

Under-19: North Bulls 3-39 Nasinu, Ba 28-10 Navosa, Tavua 15-3 Ra, Nanukuloa 34-0Vatukoula, Bua 7-12 Cakaudrove, Macuata 22-25 Ovalau. Northland 46-5 Rewa.

Men: Northland 30-21 Rewa,Nasinu 19-17 North Bulls, Ba 30-25 Navosa, Tavua 37-3 Ra,  Nanukuloa 14-13 Vatukoula,  Bua 13-15 Cakaudrove, Macuata 5-11 Ovalau.
