Police Officers Under Spotlight After Viral Video
The Internal Affairs Unit has been directed to investigate the actions of Police officers captured in a video.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that they are gathering information to ascertain when and where the incident took place.
The 20 seconds video is currently being circulated on social media including Messenger.
It shows two Police officers attempting to transport two men into a Police vehicle. One of the two men who appeared intoxicated and without a shirt is seen confronting one of the officers. In the process, the second officer is seen throwing a punch at the man without a shirt.
Ms Naisoro said information is being gathered on where and when the incident took place and the circumstances surrounding the incident regarding claims of Police assault.
