Hardware Giant Supports Charity 7s

The Kombat Uluinakau 7s team are coming in full force in trying to win this weekend’s Suva Rugby Union’s ‘Rise Fiji Rise’ Charity 7s tournament at Nasau Park in Levuka.
The two-day tournament gets underway today with all proceeds to be directed towards those affected by Tropical Cyclone Yasa and Ana in Vanua Levu.
Uluinakau have been one of the consistent teams playing in the Fiji Rugby Union’s Super Sevens Series.
The side have been boosted with the inclusion of nippy Naitasiri halfback Jo Tagivetaua and club founder Epi Kolinivala has released the names of the 12-member squad to Levuka.
‘I wish the players and officials all the best,” he said.
The team is captained by Semisi Delana along with Ponipate Loganimasi, Menausi Qiodravu, Voniani Nasauvou, Ilaisa Baisagale, Saula Naicori, Rupeni Rakase, Maikeli Waqa, Kameli Ralulu, Beni Vukica, Jo Tagivetaua, Peni Radau, Samisoni Qaranivalu (manager), Maleli Kolinivala (coach) and Aseri Quraivalu (Technical officer).
Meanwhile, Vinod Patel and Company Limited has stepped in with a $10,000 sponsorship.
Vinod Patel and Company Limited’s general manager sales and marketing Neelesh Pal Singh said the reason they supported the tournament was because it was for a worthy cause.
The tournament hosts 16 men’s teams and the winning team pocket $5,000 prizemoney while $1,000 each will be given to the winners of the mixed netball and volleyball competitions.
