Confirmed! Vuto Quits As Acting CEO Role At FRCS

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Services (FRCS) acting chief executive officer, Jonetani Vuto has resigned effective from tomorrow, September 17, 2021.

Mr Vuto’s imminent departure had been revealed in Fiji Sun’s BTL column.

FRCS board chair Fay Yee has been appointed as the executive chair by the Ministry of Economy.

“The board acknowledges the contribution that Mr Vuto has made during his term as acting CEO since January 2021 and wishes is well as he pursue his personal ambitions,” stated Ms Yee.

Mr Vuto thanked the Government, FRCS Board, stakeholders and the team at FRCS for their support during his term as Acting CEO.

Mr Vuto who spent 31 years with Revenue and Customs, had succeeded Fane Vave as acting CEO.

Ms Vave had acted in the role after CEO Visvanath Dass resigned in February last year.
