Lawyer Recounts Intervening In Domestic Violence Incident

A domestic violence alternation was thwarted four years ago thanks to the intervention of human rights lawyer Sabrina Sharma.
She has since released a book entitled “Jesus in Syria Lane” which details the attack in the lead up to the violence, during it and in the aftermath.
Her book is available at www.amazon.com.au under the search “sabrina sharma”
The incident at the back alley of Lautoka had onlookers describing her aid to a young woman as an act of bravery; however the humanitarian lawyer has said that her service is in line with her professional duty as an officer of the Court to speak out against such abuse and part of her Christian obligations to help those who have been oppressed.
“Domestic violence is a serious crime. Both against God and against the law of the land and we ought to create as much awareness about it as we can. Education is the key here, if we are to begin seeing desired changes in this matter,” said Ms Sharma.
“My heart goes out to every survivor out there. Please know you are not alone in your plight. We serve a mighty Father in Heaven who sees you.”
Ms Sharma credits God for saving the life of a young woman who was being kicked and punched by her former partner saying “if it wasn’t for the name of Jesus that day and supernatural intervention, I don’t believe she would have survived her ordeal. Hallelujah”.
