Cunningham Works Depend On Fine Weather: FRA
Reconstruction works on Cunningham Stage One in Suva will start within five months, if the weather permits.
Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) chief executive officer Kamal Prasad has confirmed this.
He said the road works began in December last year and they were currently reconstructing roads on Cunningham Stage Four.
“It will take us about four to five months to go down to Stage One because we want to do all the roads,” he said.
“We will start from Stage Four and go all the way to Stage One.
“There are about six contracts in the whole of Suva and they are working as fast as they can in a progressive manner.
“We are making sure we carry out works in an organised manner and finish all the interior roads.”
Mr Prasad has advised pedestrians to walk in the designated area and urged motorists to follow temporary road signs in place.
