Serritslev Shares Opinion On Matches

4R Electrical Labasa’s 2-1 win over Glamada Investments Rewa on Sunday is by far the best game in the Digicel Fiji FACT says national football coach, Flemming Serritslev.
He indicated that the four games on the first day at the ANZ Stadium were exciting for the opener.
“The first match between Tailevu/Naitasiri and Nasinu was midfield battle – not many chances,” Serritslev said.
“Nadi played extremely well in the game, almost losing everything but they showed up strong,” he said.
“And we had two exciting matches at the end; Ba were a bit dominant against Suva in the first half; they were really good at defense to win.
“Up till now maybe the last game of the tournament, Rewa and Labasa – was an equal game that could go to either side but in the end Labasa were the lucky team,” he added.
He looks forward to the games this weekend at Lawaqa Park where he could possibly select some young players for the national training squad for a few planned friendly games.
“Maybe a few young players popping up that we will see in the next camp,” he said.
“There is a small chance of friendlies with Oceania teams but it’s also colliding with Fiji FACT so it’s difficult; we have to wait until the next FIFA window.
“The Under -19 squad will be named soon for camp on June 13 to prepare for the OFC qualification. About five overseas-based players will be considered for the extended training squad.”
Meanwhile the continuation of the 2022 Digicel Fiji FACT second round kick off tomorrow at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka; with Rewa taking on Koromakawa Rentals & Tours Navua at 1pm.
Rams Cleaning Services/ All Freight Logistics Suva and Nasinu play at 3pm; followed by Cambridge Farms Nadroga playing against Security Systems Management Inc Tailevu Naitasiri at 5pm.
The All in One Builders Nadi and Baker’s Fresh Lautoka match kicks off at 7pm.
