Rewa, Navua In Tough Situation

The Koromakawa Rentals & Tours Navua and Glamada Investments Rewa teams must win their next pool games to stay in the running of the Digicel Fiji FACT tournament.
This was after their clash ended in a 1-1 draw at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, yesterday.
What happened: Rewa started strongly as they played a structured game. They bombarded the Navua goal and drew first blood in the 16th minute from a Setareki Hughes strike after he was set up by Tevita Waranaivalu.
This woke the Navua players as they dictated play and had the Rewa defenders working overtime.
In the 27th minute, from a cross, Navua defender Arami Manumanubai managed to head the ball past Rewa goalkeeper Emori Ragata for the equaliser.
Halftime: Navua 1-1 Rewa.
In the second spell, both teams failed to make use of their scoring chances. Also, the heat took its toll on the players
Comments: Navua coach Saiyad Ali said: “My boys did give in their 100 per cent. The good thing is that they stuck to the game plan right through to the final whistle.”
Rewa coach Marika Rodu said: “The boys showed they were not hungry enough.
“Navua deserved the draw and when you lose points each time out chances (of winning the tournament) do get slim.”
