Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort and Sheraton Resort & Spa, Tokoriki Island, are looking to hire up to 75 associates.
Multi property vice president Fiji and Samoa Marriott International and general manager Westin and Sheraton Resort Fiji complex, Neeraj Chadha said they have vacancies for chefs, front office workers, housekeeping and food and beverages team members across the board.
The Marriott Fiji properties employed 600 associates after a recent recruitment drive however, it needed to bring in more team members.
“We are looking at the levels of business that we’ve got now which was for something that we anticipated a few months ago,” Mr Chadha said.
“We are looking for talent right across.”
Bookings
Since the reopening of Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort in March this year, there has been a hike in the number of bookings.
“We started with a big bang, which has its own challenges,” he said.
Easter weekend was a bit of a slow ramp, however after the long weekend, the properties have been running on high occupancy, Mr Chadha says.
He added that all the four resorts are projected to be well ahead with its occupancy rate.
“We continue to forecast that for the foreseeable future.”
Westin Fiji
Mr Chadha confirmed that the Westin Denarau Island Resort and Spa was on track with its renovation process.
“Currently the renovation plans are underway. We expect it to open sometime in the middle of next year,” he said.
