Australian schoolboys’ prop Jordan Miller who stands six foot plus is anticipating that the Vodafone Fijian schoolboys will be physical when they meet at 3pm on Friday at Albert Park, Suva.

Miller, 17, is no stranger in Fiji. The junior West Tigers player has been to Fiji a few times to catch up with his family.

While he was born and grew up in Australia, his father is from Savusavu.

“My dad is from Savusavu, I have been to Fiji a few times to visit my families here,” Miller said.

“It’s always good to come over and see the family here, they’re supportive – my nenna is from Naitasiri.

“It’s a blessing and I thank God every day for giving me this opportunity.

“I was not originally in the squad but I got called earlier in the week if I’m able to come; I’m grateful for that.

“I would just like to thank my family for their support.

“I’ve only been here for one day and all the family have come to see me, thank you all for the love and support.

“I’m looking forward to the Fiji schoolboys’ physicality.

“It’s my first time playing here, I don’t know what to expect here but it should be good.”

Miller has plans to continue playing for West Tigers in the NRL next year.

“Next year I am training full time with them, so it should be good.”

Miller was awarded the player’s player, best and fairest player at the Wests Magpies Harold Matthews Cup U17s earlier this month during their Junior Representative Award night.
