Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa has donated $60,000 to Cure Kids Fiji.

The presentation was made to the organisation by the resort’s general manager, Vincent Macquet and Accor Pacific chief executive officer, Sarah Derry in Nadi on Tuesday.

Ms Derry said Accor Hotels and the Sofitel Resort were delighted to be given the opportunity to work with Cure Kids Fiji supporting children with rheumatic heart disease (RHD).

She said Accor believed in the spirit of Fiji.

“We talk about everything we do comes from the heart and that is truly Fiji but it is also truly Accor,” she said.

“Cure Kids Fiji is an important organisation to us at Accor and most importantly is that where we operate we have the privilege of operating at hotels in the Pacific.”

“Particularly in Fiji, but we want to be part of the community and we want to give back and we want to be part of positive solutions and this has allowed us as an organisation to be part of that.”

She said the team would continue to be involved with Cure Kids and make a difference not just this year but for the many years to come.

Cure Kids Fiji director, Bobby Raniga said the team at Accor Hotels had always shown their passion and heart for Fiji and over the years they had fundraised $4million towards helping children.
