Nadi Football head coach Viliame Toma has given his players the ultimatum to go hard or go home.

Nadi needs to win against Suva to keep its hopes alive in the 2022 Courts Interdistrict Championship now underway this weekend at the HFC Bank stadium in Suva.

Nadi was yesterday held to a 1-all against Navua. This is Nadi’s second draw, it drew with Nadroga 1-all against Nadroga on Wednesday.

Speaking to SUNsports Toma said his team would have to work hard against Suva if they are to qualify for the eliminations.

“We all have a point each because of the results we had after the first round of competition so it’s wide open,” Toma said.

“This is a crucial game for our campaign and our goal is to win this match so we can make it to the next round.

“I’ve reminded the players that this is their opportunity, we have to take it with both hands, must come out with a win.

“Suva is on top of the table with a win over Nadroga so we have to beat them and be the second team to qualify.

“It’s simple we have to lift our game if we want to create an upset today, so the boys know what to be done.

“Points difference and average will be very important in this match so we need to build constant pressure.

“On the other hand Navua and Nadroga will want to qualify as well so we have to try and get some valuable points.

He added that his team needs to remain focussed on the game.

“We gave up our lead very easily because the boys switched off during the game and should’ve happen,” he said.

“The team discussed about been consistent in both attack and defence during the game which are very important.

“The other key area is scoring goals, we need to turn all the attacks into points by scoring quality goals.

“I believe in my boys that they will give Suva a good game today, we just need to focus and play as a team to get the result we want

“We have to be patient in attack so we can provide good balls to our strikers who are good finishers”.
