62 Recruits Join Fiji Corrections Services

Sixty-two new recruits for the Fiji Corrections Service were accorded with a ceremonial parade at the Naboro training academy on Friday.
Minister for Defence, National Security and Policing, Inia Seruiratu commended the Fiji Corrections Service for their continued contribution in the matter of security for Fiji, particularly in nurturing the 62 new recruits and their rehabilitation of inmates effort.
“I congratulate the contribution made by the Fiji Corrections Services for the tireless effort in the rehabilitation of inmates,” he said.
“Since the inception of the Yellow Ribbon Project in 2008, our nation’s current rate has dropped to one per cent, the lowest on record.
“The Yellow Ribbon programme expo and the support of businesses, we have seen the employment of 53 inmates since its inauguration.”
