Dad, 42, Finishes What He Started 26 Years Ago

Sakiusa Bagasau will join 8235 students across Fiji sitting for the Year 13 National Certificate Examination.

But he’s not your ordinary student in his teens.

Twenty-six years ago, he made the tough decision as a mere teen to give up school to help look after his family financially.

He was just a Year 9 student of Laucala Bay Secondary School.

His father was nearing retirement and after talks with him, Mr Bagasau was to replace him at work.
