Marica Tabuadrau Graduates With Honours And She Becomes The First Nurse From The Village Of Nasau

A journey of patience and sacrifice is how Marica Tabua describes her journey prior to graduating with a Bachelor of Nursing from the Fiji National University.
The 23-year-old even scooped the Dean of Honours in her graduating class.
She was born and raised in Tavua and is originally from the village of Nasau, Nalawa, in Ra and is the first nurse from her village.
Ms Tabua said during her studies, solar lights were the only resources that could aid her.
“I currently live with my grandmother who brought me up since I was small, who is my namesake,” Ms Tabua said.
