Fijian Newbies Shine Despite Red Card

The Fiji Airways Fijian men’s rugby sevens team played with six-men as they walloped Tonga 52-7 in their Pool D opener of the Sydney Sevens at the Allianz Stadium on Friday.
Prop Jerry Matana was red carded in the 7th minute for an unintentional head clash with a charging Tongan player, which was ruled as dangerous tackle.
The Fijians were ahead 28-0 at that stage of the match.
Coach Ben Gollings opted to start all his new players with Matana and Josese Batirerega in the forwards
