Former Fijian Broadcasting Corporation (FBC) CEO Riyaz Sayed- Khaiyum.

Terminated Fijian Broadcasting Corporation chief executive officer Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has refuted claims he was paid $32,000 in salary per month and more than $304,000 during the COVID-19 year.

Newly appointed FBC Board chair Ajay Amrit, while announcing Mr Sayed-Khaiyum’s termination through a press release on Monday, claimed that he was paid more than the Prime Minister and received more than $30,000 a month.

Under my most recent three-year contract, which was approved by the board in late December last year, I was paid nowhere near what has been falsely reported,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.
