Zaid Looks Beyond Premier League
New addition, Mohammed Zaid, 26, is looking forward to boosting the Babasiga Lions strike force this season.
Labasa faces Rewa at Ratu Cakobau Park in its Digicel Premier League season opening match on Sunday, February 19.
The lanky striker, Zaid, is a consistent player in the Northern Division having represented Dreketi and Bua; representing Labasa again this season.
Stationed at Nabouwalu back then the Police constable’s record with Bua was he had scored 15 goals in 15 games to help the side win the Vanua Levu Digicel Senior League title in 2020.
He first played for Labasa in 2014 before joining Dreketi in 2017.
He is now part of the 30-member extended squad for the 2023 DPL season after his transfer to the Labasa Police Station.
