$56 Million To Fix Railway in Labasa

A minister has reassured the management of the Fiji Sug­arcane Corporation Labasa Mill that funds would be allocated to fix the rail network system.

A minister has reassured the management of the Fiji Sug­arcane Corporation Labasa Mill that funds would be allocated to fix the rail network system.

The management had urgently requested the Government to up­grade the railway network from Waiqele to Nubu to ensure trans­portation of sugarcane was vastly improved.

It would cost $56 million to fix the railway system, said the Fiji Sugar­cane Corporation Labasa Mill man­agement.
