Double Tragedy For Family
Kolinio Nuve said his niece, Talica Nakasa, was attending a funeral at Malabe Village, Wainibuka, Tailevu last Friday, with her family when a road accident claimed her life near Dakuivuna Village along the Kings Road.
Mr Nuve said his niece was on the front seat of a vehicle that was driven by her father, while her four-year-old daughter sat in the backseat with her niece and Ms Nakasa’s sister.
“The accident happened about 2pm last Friday. We were at Malabe attending a funeral and they (Ms Nakasa and her family) were travelling to Korovou when the accident happened. They were hit by a big truck that went off the road. Her father tried to avoid it, but it was too late,” he said.
