$1.12 Billion To Water Authority In Past Five Years

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) was allocated $1.12billion over the past five years.
This was highlighted by the Minister for Finance professor Biman Prasad during the opening of the water sector strategy 2050 workshop held at Holiday Inn in Suva yesterday.
Professor Prasad said $421.7million had been for operating expenditure and $705.1m for capital expenditure.
The majority of funds has been going towards the construction of the Viria Project.
