There is a need to grow Cultural and Heritage Tourism to benefit local communities.
At the same time, preserve cultural and historical assets for future generations.
Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation Permanent Secretary, Salaseini Daunabuna highlighted this when signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Trust of Fiji acting chair, Setoki Tuiteci, at the Sigatoka Sand dunes National Park on Tuesday.
This was to mark the International Day of Forest celebration theme- Healthy Forest for Healthy People.
