Fiji Government First 100 Days Under Spotlight

With the coalition Government nearing its first 100th day in power, the spotlight turns to their first 100-day promises – a highlight of their pre-election campaign.
At least two major political parties outside of Parliament and the main Opposition party, have indicated that the Government’s plans will not be met.
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka in an interview last Friday revealed that some of their plans had been implemented while some would take more time.
Minister for Finance Biman Prasad had earlier stated that any changes to the Tertiary Education Loan Scheme (TELS) would be announced in the National Budget.
