Morris Wins Fishing Competition

Suzie Hirst Tuilau was the best female angler when she tagged and released a marlin on the second day. Fifty anglers on five boats took part in the competition from March 25-26, it covered an area from Kadavu to Beqa.

Boys Out Catching Ika won the Best Boat prize of the two-day fishing competition.

Angler Aidan Morris picked up the Best Angler price at the end of the two-day fishing competition over the weekend in Suva.

Suzie Hirst Tuilau was the best female angler when she tagged and released a marlin on the second day. Fifty anglers on five boats took part in the competition from March 25-26, it covered an area from Kadavu to Beqa.

The anglers used every trick in the book to win as the boats sought to win the major prizes from the sponsors, Pacific Energy, Concrete Solutions, Camira Holdings, Vatuwaqa Engineering, Shimano, Golden Manufactures and Foneology.

Best Boat prize went to Boys Out Catching Ika on board Our Way skippered by Ivan Lauri.

Prizes were also awarded to Best Boat; Best Male and Female angler and several spot prizes.
