Recycling Partnership To Kick Start I-Recycle Hub Initiative
Fiji National University (FNU) has partnered with Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited and Pacific Recycling Foundation to introduce the I-Recycle Hub, a recycling initiative that will complement FNU’s existing sustainability programmes.
The I-Recycle Hub will involve specially designed bins being placed at pilot locations at the Derrick Campus in Samabula and Natabua Campus in Lautoka, encouraging recycling on campus.
FNU’s acting vice-chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba, said the partnership aligned with the institution’s Strategic and Sustainability Plans commitment to the environment, and the pilot project would be the starting point for future activities across FNU campuses.
