Police Propose Review Of Nightclub Opening Hours
The Fiji Police Force has submitted a proposal on the review of nightclub opening hours in special zones to the office of the Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration.
Chief Operations Officer ACP Livai Driu said they would wait for a decision of their proposal.
This decision came about after the death of Alipate Baleilakeba Tuivaga, 28, who was assaulted outside a Suva nightclub.
“More patrols will be conducted and we also urge members of the public to assist by being responsible with their safety as the excessive consumption of alcohol will hinder one’s ability to make decisions about their safety and wellbeing,” ACP Driu said.
