‘Lets Go Local’: The ‘Avatar World Of Lau’
Renowned photographer, Allan Stephen

It says a lot about the quality of your photos when big publications like CNN, BBC, The New York Times and Al Jazeera want you as their photographer.

Alan Stephen has come a long way from beginnings a preschool teacher. Now he is a respected and widely-sought-after professional photographer.

He spent the past 13 years, building a name for himself and his brand – Infinity Images Fiji.

It is a job that pays up to a million dollars annually.

“It’s not about competition, it’s about being unique,” Mr. Stephen said.

“It’s about the way you communicate with your clients.”

Raised in Korotogo, Nadroga, Mr. Stephen’s photography journey began during his preschool job.

He eventually became a full-time photographer and honed his skill while working for Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort from 2011 to 2014 where he took wedding pictures for as many as 200 customers a year.

“Many photographers go for the money; it should be a passion,” Mr. Stephen said.

“If you go for the money, your work credibility will drop.

“Let your work speak for itself.”
