Police Finalise Probe Into Malau Death
Ms Naisoro said the victim was allegedly assaulted by her brother-in-law and his wife after she tried to stop a fight, which started when they were drinking at their home in Malau, Labasa.

Police in Labasa are finalising their investigation into the alleged murder of a 39-year-old mother of four children.
Anaseini Vereivalu was allegedly assaulted by three members of her family on April 24 in Malau, Labasa.
This was confirmed by Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro yesterday. She died at the Labasa Hospital on May 23.
Ms Naisoro said the victim was allegedly assaulted by her brother-in-law and his wife after she tried to stop a fight, which started when they were drinking at their home in Malau, Labasa.
She was rushed to the Labasa Hospital and admitted at the intensive care unit.
The matter was reported to Police on April 26 by the victim’s brother.
