33 Houses In Veisaru Without Electricity For Six Years
Veisaru Settlement Rural Electrification Committee chairman Jokatama Rakarasea says 33 houses in their area have had no power for the past six years, despite pleas for assistance.
This was part of his submissions during the National Budget consultation at the Veisaru Sanatan Dharam School in Ba on Thursday.
“About 15 houses have had the wiring done, but they have no power, it has been six years now, and we are still waiting now for that to be done. And 18 houses have the electrical post beside the houses but they haven’t been connected with the wiring,” he said.
“We requested $30,000 from the previous administration and I have to say that this has really made life hard for all the residents,” he said.
