FRA Used 100 Per Cent Of Its Budget Allocation: Prasad

Biman Prasasd said the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) had spent almost 100 per cent of its allocated budget.
This was the Minister for Finance’s response to concerns raised by Yaladro farmer Paras Reddy during the National Budget consultation at the Tavua College on Thursday.
Mr Reddy said there was a lack of accountability within the government sector and private sector.
“You look at the government ministries in the previous years, where are the audited reports how many years behind in providing audited reports and the older they get the harder to get accountability,” he said.
“So as far as the road conditions in Tavua in general, they’re in dire need of repair.”
Mr Prasad said Mr Reddy raised important issues such as accountability and transparency
“You’re absolutely right, you hit the nail on the head by saying that millions of dollars were spent on FRA.”
