Kebaitoga Promotes Fijian Craft

Sululu Kebaitoga from Moce, Yatu Lau was present during the Central Division Women’s Expo, showcasing her Masi.
She grew up making Masi. Her whole family in the village participated in the long and tiring process of Masi making to sell to tourist and even for occasions. After she got married, she was taught how to print Masi.
It is an art to admire but it is hard to find the plain Masi for her to print. Regardless of all the difficulties of finding Masi to bring to completion to sell, she finds a way.
She said she has also taught children that Masi could be kept for decades and in one easy step which was to keep it in a bag in a dry place.
