Fijian Drua Dominates RWC 45 Member Squad

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua players’ made up more than half of the Fiji Water Flying Fijians squad. Flying Fijians head coach Simon Raiwalui announced the 45-member squad yesterday, with 23 players from the Drua squad.
The squad is for the upcoming July Test series against Tonga on July 22, Samoa on July 29, Japan on August 5 and pre-Rugby World Cup warm-up matches against France on August 19 and England on August 26.
The wider squad includes 23 players from the Drua who are currently preparing for the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacifi quarterfinal against the Crusaders on Saturday, 13 players from French Top 14, five from the English Premiership and one each from French Pro D2, United Rugby Championship, Japan Rugby League One and Super Rugby.
There are 10 uncapped players named amongst the experienced overseas-based Flying Fijians.
With niggling injuries to a few players, Raiwalui will await the outcome of the quarterfinal clash between the Drua and the Crusaders before naming the final squad of 38 that goes into camp later this month.
