It will be the replay of last year’s Skipper Cup grand final when hosts Nadi takes on Naitasiri at Prince Charles Park, this Saturday.

Nadi scrapped through with a 16- 14 win to claim the Cup.

However, the Highlanders are more determined to turn things around this time.

For the Cohan Politini-coached Nadi side, a lot will rest on the shoulders of first-five eighth, Rafaele Tunidau, to manage their game against Naitasiri.

Tunidau did just that in Nadi’s big 40-17 win over Yasawa in their Skipper Cup opener last Saturday.

Nadi manager Epeli Qoro praised their Match 23 squad for executing what was needed of them.

“He (Tunidau) played an outstanding game with his kicking game and we expect him to repeat that performance,” Qoro said.

“Last year, we did not have a solid number 10, we brought him in to be part of the team during the semi-final and onwards. It worked in our favour.”

Qoro added despite Naitasiri’s narrow 29-25 win over FMF Macuata, they cannot be underestimated.

“We respect Naitasiri but we have faith in our boys to do their part.”

Nadi is banking on the experience of veteran looseman Semi Kunatani, Jolame Luvevou, Jiuta Takubu, Tomasi Nawaqa, Peni Bulukata, Anasa Gray, and Joseva Vuniyayawa to make the difference once again.
