‘Let’s Go Local’-Labasa On Bevu’s Bucket List

While small business owners are contributing to Fiji’s economic recovery, many are also supporting environmental sustainability and green business solutions that positively impact local communities.
One of them is Senirosi Bevu, the founder and owner of Haven on Earth Natural Blends, a herbal therapy business.
She fully registered her business this year, which offers products grown organically on her farms in Vuda and Tavua. She sells organic herbal juices and honey.
She is also in the process of building an off-grid treatment centre to advance her mission of promoting good health and wellness.
“It’s been overwhelming. This is what I’ve always wanted,” Ms Bevu said.
“I’ve worked in the teaching profession. But this is more fun. This is what I love to do.”
The 46-year-old shared some insight with SunBiz into her business, as well as her favourite food to eat and go-to Fiji destinations to visit.
What do you enjoy about running your own business?
I love meeting people, helping people who are sick and seeing their families smile. That’s what is so exciting about what I do.
What is your favourite food to eat?
I’m a vegan, but finding vegan restaurant options in Fiji is difficult. So, I make my own vegan food at home, such as salads, miti, and root crops from my farm.
What are your favourite travel destinations in Fiji?
Yasawa is beautiful and so is my island home Lakeba.
What are your top bucket list destinations in Fiji?
I haven’t been to Labasa. It’s the only place I haven’t been to, so I’d love to visit one day.
What makes Fiji an attractive destination fortravel and to do business?
What makes Fiji attractive is the friendliness of people here and the smiles on their faces.
