Continued Growth in Aviation

The Nadi International Airport has been buzzing with a lot of economic activities especially with the different types of international aircraft coming into the country.
Tourism Fiji chief executive officer Brent Hill said it was great to see this continued growth in aviation.
He made these comments after the Nadi International Airport welcomed back FedEx Express and Omni Air International aircraft last week.
Hub of the Pacific
“Fiji is the hub of the South Pacific and can really continue to be the giant in the area in terms of being the centrepiece and connection to our key trading partners and tourism partners around the world,” said Mr Hill.
“Great for the South Pacific too to have this kind of trade connection coming into Fiji.”
Fiji Airports in a statement said: “Nadi International Airport continues to see positive signs in the recovery of the aviation industry – welcoming back familiar airlines along with new routes and carriers.”
Meanwhile, a delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was in the country headed by the Minister for Tourism for Saudi Arabia Ahmed Al-Khateeb, and Deputy Minister of Tourism for International Affairs Sultan Al-Musallam. The delegation also visited their counterparts in Tonga, Vanuatu, New Zealand, and Fiji.
