PSH Donates $25,000 to WOWS Kids Fiji

Children suffering from cancer in Fiji will undergo radiation therapy treatment free of charge once Pacific Specialist Healthcare sets up the centre in Suva.
The announcement was made by PSH managing director Parvish Kumar yesterday while making a $25,000 donation to Wows Kids Fiji in Nadi.
The donation was done in memory of his late mum, Pratima Devi, 73, who passed away at their home in Nadi on Saturday.
“We as organisations and members of society should bring light to the lives of those children who need our help when they are sick otherwise their future would not be bright,” Mr Kumar said.
“We admired a lot what Wows Kids are doing in Fiji and PSH would like to strongly work with them strongly and develop MOUs and the treatment of children in Fiji.
“We are hoping to be more supportive in the months and years ahead.”
Mr Kumar said the radiation therapy treatment services should be up and running within 12 months.
“We at PSH will make ensure that all children in Fiji suffering with cancer will get this treatment at no costs,” he said.
Sina Kami, chairperson and co-founder of Wows Kids thanked PSH for the contribution and the support for the future.
“That is amazing,” she said.
“For us at Wows Kids we can only do so much and it is through support from you and the people of Fiji we would be able to deliver services for these children.
“For you to make the announcement today to give hope to the children of Fiji through the radiation treatment was one thing we at Wows Kids only dreamed of.
“Now we will be able to tell parents they have another option of radiation treatment apartment from chemo therapy.”
