Mele Wakolo is looking forward to participating at the 2023 Pacific Fair in Noumea, New Caledonia, on October 6 to 8.

She is a member of Women Entrepreneurs Business Council (WEBC) under the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation.

Ms Wakolo co-owns and operates Joseph and Brothers Design Solutions or JBROS, a business that designs and print T-shirts, kalavata fabric and sulus.

It opened its first store along Fletcher Road, Nabua.

Ms Wakolo was among four other women entrepreneurs chosen to be part of a delegation supported by the French Embassy through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed early this month with WEBC.

“Our fabrics are uniquely designed and screen printed locally,” she said.

“We offer a wide range of designs and you can choose from various vibrant colours to brighten up our customer’s day.

“It showcases Fijian designs and our culture.

“I will be attending the Pacific Fair as a member of WEBC.

“I’m grateful to be a part of this opportunity and I’m very thankful to the French Embassy for their assistance.

“I’ll be taking screen printed and sublimation materials to showcase at the fair.”

Ms Wakolo said customers could step out in style with JBROS where fashion meets expression.

“At the fair I would love to expand our network, learn from others and hopefully tap into markets or partner with someone who we can stock our products with, in New Caledonia,” she said.

At the Pacific Fair, Fiji will be a guest of honour with a dedicated exhibition centre located at the centre of the fair.

The Pacific Fair is expected to be a major opportunity for local companies to expand their export activities to New Caledonia.

It is also a good forum for companies looking to promote and sell their products to potential clients.
