Model and businesswoman Marisha Nigar.

Meet Marisha Nigar, the owner of Beautymark Fiji.

Born and raised in Nadi, she is a freelance hair stylist and make-up artist based in Lautoka.

For the past eight years, Ms Nigar has operated her small business for local and international clients.

The entrepreneur is a self-taught beautician experienced in working with high-end beauty products, and passionate about helping every client look and feel their best.

“My speciality is creating radiant, natural make-up looks that enhance the natural features of my clients and make them be the best version of themselves,” Ms Nigar said.

“As a mum to two beautiful kids and a make-up artist, I have to prioritise a lot of tasks, including being present for my children whenever they need me and being available for my clients which sometimes involves travelling long distances.”

Ms Nigar shared some insight with SunBiz into her business as well as her best local destinations for food, leisure, and travel.

What is your work routine like?

My normal routine at work starts between 3am to 5am as I must travel long distances to be on time for appointments in places like Tavua, Ba, and Sigatoka.

What do you enjoy about your job?

I love meeting new people on a daily basis and sharing tips and techniques with them as well.

What are your favourite local places to eat and unwind?

My favourite place to hang out with my kids would be at the beach.

We also love to eat at The Coffee Hub and 168 Seafood Restaurant.

Where do you take family and friends for a meal and to relax?

I mostly go with family and friends around Port Denarau as they have so many food cuisine options.

What have been your favourite local travel destinations?

My favourite local travel destination would be along the Coral Coast as it is full of white sandy beaches.

One of the best experiences was at Maui Palms: Boutique Beachfront Hotel Coral Coast. It was an amazing experience.

What are your top local bucket list destinations?

My top bucket list family destination would be Koro Sun Resort in Savusavu.

Fiji is mostly known for its dreamy blue seas and white sandy beaches, as well as the locals’ friendly smiles.

There are countless tourist attractions and activities to be explored locally.

What makes Fiji an attractive destination for travel and business?

It has a lot of opportunities for investors who want to start up a business in the country.

We have a sustainable economy, a high-quality education system, and exceptional customer care which companies can benefit from.
